Job description

Embrace the values of Empathy, Compassion, Respect and Dignity as you provide essential care to the Sisters.The Carer will stay awake throughout the night so that they can provide specialist care whenever it is required. Provide full personal care to individual sisters, assist with meal preparation i.e. provide breakfast for sisters in morning, perform light domestic duties i.e. washing, ironing, cleaning and hoovering main living area, to assist in the care of the sisters who may need end of life care. Ensure the security of the convent is maintained at all times. A full job description will be providedif requested.

Responsibilities

• Observe, monitor and record the condition of the sisters.
• Keep up to date records, administer Medication, contact G.P, District Nurse, Work within Policies/Procedures of Villa Pacis.
• Providing the Handover to day shift.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Able to demonstrate a competent, caring approach.
• Commitment, willing to learn and take on challenges.
• Manual Handling.

Desirable Skills

• Administration of Medication, Clinical skills, i.e Blood pressure, temperature, oxygen levels, infection control, First Aid.
