Job description
Supports the smooth running of a kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards. Responsibilities include washing dishes and utensils, cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces, disposing of waste, unloading deliveries, and assisting chefs with basic prep tasks when needed. The role requires good teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Washing dishes, pots, pans and utensils promptly and thoroughly putting them back in their places.
- Disposing of waste and recycling according to hygiene standards.
- Keeping storage areas clean, organised, and well-stocked.
- Supporting the kitchen team to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene regulations are followed.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Teamwork and willingness to support kitchen staff.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of meeting the physical demands of the job.
Desirable Skills
- Flexibility to work different shifts.
