NWCare is a Northern Ireland based company - we DO NOT provide sponsorship Job Overview: Due to expansion of service, we are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their homes , ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, be attentive to Service Users' needs, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. NWCare is one of the leading providers of domiciliary care in Northern Ireland, serving the community for well over 50 years. We are recruiting home care assistants to cover afternoon and evening rotas in Strabane. No training or qualifications are required as NWCare provides full bespoke training in their in-house training academy. We work a 4/3 rota pattern - Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday Week 2 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday The evening rota begins at 19:00 - 23:00
Responsibilities
- Care in the community.
- Personal care - showering/washing, oral hygiene, toileting etc.
- Light meal preparation.
- Companionship.
- General tidy round leaving all areas safe and clean.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Full driving licence and access to a motor vehicle.
- Great communication skills.
- Able to promote and deliver person centered care.
- Able to promote dignity and respect when delivering care.
- Interested in working in the community within Health and Social Care.
- Care about the community they live in.
Desirable Skills
- QCF level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Previous paid caring experience.
