Job description
The post holder will assist the Trauma & Orthopaedic Service Manager in the development, co-ordination and delivery of a high quality Trauma & Orthopaedic service across the Belfast Trust and will lead on specific components of strategic planning and performance for specific services within Trauma & Orthopaedic services. Responsibilities
- The post holder will assist the Service Manager in the strategic planning of the services while ensuring effective multi-disciplinary working and making the most efficient use of resources to promote health.
- The post holder will contribute to a culture of positive performance management through leadership, setting and maintaining high standards of practice while promoting a culture of effective team working, continuous improvement and innovation.
- The post holder will report to the Service Manager and work in collaboration with the Senior Management Team.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Registered Nurse or Midwife on live NMC Register
- Have a university degree or equivalent and worked for at least 2 years at senior management level or above in healthcare
- In the absence of a university degree, have worked for at least 4 years at senior management level or above in Healthcare
- Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable Skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of Trauma & Orthopaedic Services
