The Churches Trust is recruiting for a part-time Receptionist Administrator to provide front-of-house reception cover and administrative support across the organisation. The role will include answering telephone calls, welcoming visitors, dealing with enquiries, maintaining accurate records, supporting service scheduling, assisting with petty cash/income records, undertaking banking and post office runs, and providing general administrative support to staff and projects. The post will also include supporting charity shop and online retail administration, including online sales listings, customer messages and sales/postage records. Applicants should have good organisational and communication skills, be confident dealing with the public, have competent IT skills including Microsoft Office, and be able to work well as part of a small team.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 12 months' experience in an office-based administration, reception, finance administration, scheduling or similar role.
- Experience of working in a front-facing role, dealing with members of the public in a professional and welcoming manner, including telephone, reception or customer-facing duties.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload, manage competing tasks and complete work accurately within agreed timescales.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel, with the ability to maintain accurate records and update spreadsheets.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate appropriately with staff, clients, visitors and external contacts.
- Ability to undertake weekly banking, post office runs and local work-related errands independently and reliably, in line with organisational procedures.
- Willingness and ability to maintain a clean, tidy, professional and welcoming reception/office environment, including shared communal areas.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a small team, support staff across departments, follow agreed procedures, take direction appropriately and maintain confidentiality.
Desirable Skills
- Level 2 qualification or above in Business Administration, Office Administration, Customer Service, or another relevant subject.
- Experience of working in an office/reception role within a voluntary, community, charity or public-facing service environment.
- Experience of supporting service administration, including scheduling, appointments, financial records, petty cash, invoicing, cash handling, banking records or basic reconciliation.
- Experience of using online sales platforms, social media or digital systems to support retail, marketing, customer service or administrative activity.
- Access to suitable transport to undertake banking and work-related errands, as required.
