Job description

We are seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our team. Senior Support Workers should work within the mission and values of Autism Initiatives and the aims and objectives of the service. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside people who use our services, supporting in a range of activities, including developing independence in daily living, accessing work/education and leisure activities.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Be able to work on their own initiative, and be able to plan and organise daily activities and routines for themselves and the team.
• Provide direction and support to junior members of staff, and assist the Team Leader in the overall management of the service.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum of six months experience (paid or voluntary) supporting people with an Autism Spectrum Condition, or Learning Difficulties and associated conditions.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent.
• NISCC registered or apply to register on appointment.
• A full UK Driving Licence to be held for a minimum of one year; a car will be provided accordingly.
