Key responsibilities will include: Co-ordination the reception team, arranging cover for sickness, annual leave and training. Supporting the practice manager with planning staff workload and reception delivery service. Acting as a senior point of contact for the reception team during daily operation. Supporting the appraisal process for the reception team including feedback and identifying development needs Providing support to the reception team on a daily basis Supporting the induction and training of new staff Handling patient enquiries at reception and over the telephone in a professional and courteous manner Booking appointments and managing patient access requests Process patient registrations, deductions, clinical correspondence and administrative tasks Undertake delegated additional tasks from the practice manager Escalating concerns risks or incidents appropriately Monitor office supplies inventory and coordinate procurement as needed Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures The successful candidate will continue to work as part of the reception team while supporting the practice manager within the day to day co-ordination of reception services. The role combines hands on reception admin duties with team coordination responsibilities making it an ideal role for someone looking to progress within primary care and contribute to the ongoing development of the reception team. Main duties of the job The office supervisor will support the smooth running of reception services while continuing to undertake core reception and administrative duties.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 5 GSCEs grade C or above ( or equivalent).
- Excellent communication & customer care skills.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Desirable Skills
- Supervising role for at least 1 year (preferred).
- Previous experience working in a GP practice.
