Domiciliary Care Worker-Bed runs Strabane & District Caring Services has part-time contracts available for Domiciliary Care Workers to provide care in the community in the Cityside & Waterside areas of Derry/Londonderry. The Domiciliary Care worker will work as part of a team providing personal, domestic and social care at home to vulnerable individuals in the community (including frail elderly, those with physical and learning disabilities and mental health).

• Providing domiciliary health care and other services to the community.
• Work as part of a team to provide personal and domestic care.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A full valid driving licence and access to transport for work purposes.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Teamwork skills.
• Understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
• Able to promote dignity and respect in care delivery.
• Able to promote and deliver personal care.

Desirable Skills

• 6 months experience in formal care setting.
• NVQ level 2 in Care or equivalent.
• NISCC registered or willing to undertake if successful.
• Knowledge of domiciliary care minimum standards.

Further Information

Joining Bonus - £150 (T's & C's apply) Rotas available: Bed Runs: 7.00pm to 11.00pm. Pay: Bed runs: Monday - Thursday £13.15 per hour and Friday £14.50 per hour. Weekend: All runs £14.50 per hour. Mileage rate: 35p per mile Successful applicants must be willing to carry out Access NI check. Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily prohibit you from working with Strabane & District Caring Services. This will depend on the information provided and obtained from disclosure certificate, as well as the position applied for.
