We are looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Production Baker to support the daily operations of a busy bakehouse. Helps lead day-to-day baking tasks as per production list and instruction from head baker. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• Helps lead day-to-day baking tasks as per production list and instruction from head baker.
• Mixing doughs, batters, and pastry.
• Producing breads, traybakes, cakes, scones, desserts etc.
• Helps with oven management and baking schedules.
• Monitoring product quality.
• Supporting the Head Baker.
• Training more junior staff.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in a professional bakery environment.
• Strong knowledge of bread, pastry, desserts and cake production.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Desirable Skills

• Formal baking or culinary qualification.
• Experience using commercial bakery equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g. HACCP).
• Passion for baking and the Creative Gardens Food Co brand.
• Team player.
• Able to work early mornings.

Further Information

Work Time: Available to work 5 days per week, approx. 40 hours. This role is ideal for someone with strong baking experience who is ready to take on a lead role, ensuring Creative Gardens high-quality products are consistently produced while working for the head baker and also supporting the wider bakehouse team. (shift time likely to start at 530am, with alternate/ occasional Saturdays finishing at 12 noon)
