Production Baker
Job description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Production Baker to support the daily operations of a busy bake-house. This role is ideal for someone with baking experience who takes pride in producing high-quality products and enjoys working as part of a fast-paced team.
Responsibilities
- Producing breads, traybakes, cakes, scones, desserts etc.
- Preparing and mixing doughs, batters, and pastries.
- Following recipes and production methods accurately.
- Baking products and using ovens.
- Maintaining consistency and quality of all products.
- Supporting general bakery operations and cleanliness.
- Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a bakery or similar food production environment.
- Good knowledge of baking processes and techniques.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work early mornings.
Desirable Skills
- Formal baking or culinary qualification.
- Experience using commercial bakery equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g. HACCP).
Further Information
Available to work 5 days per week, approx. 35-40 hours (shift time likely to start at 5:30am, with alternate/ occasional Saturdays finishing at 12 noon).
