Production Baker


Job description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Production Baker to support the daily operations of a busy bake-house. This role is ideal for someone with baking experience who takes pride in producing high-quality products and enjoys working as part of a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

  • Producing breads, traybakes, cakes, scones, desserts etc.
  • Preparing and mixing doughs, batters, and pastries.
  • Following recipes and production methods accurately.
  • Baking products and using ovens.
  • Maintaining consistency and quality of all products.
  • Supporting general bakery operations and cleanliness.
  • Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in a bakery or similar food production environment.
  • Good knowledge of baking processes and techniques.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work early mornings.

Desirable Skills

  • Formal baking or culinary qualification.
  • Experience using commercial bakery equipment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g. HACCP).

Further Information

Available to work 5 days per week, approx. 35-40 hours (shift time likely to start at 5:30am, with alternate/ occasional Saturdays finishing at 12 noon).
