Job description

The post holder will be responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of an Employability/Placement/volunteering support pathway for the Switch onto Employment Programme across Belfast City for young people engaged and participating within the programme.

Responsibilities

• Identifying services across the Belfast City which provide employment, training, pre-vocational, personal development and further education and training opportunities for participants.
• Conduct risk assessments as part of the above and maintaining a database of activity.
• Produce and provide monitoring information to support the evaluation of this service.
• Organise and arrange weekly information, advice and guidance sessions (IAG) to support participants.
• Prepare participants with work experience opportunities i.e. interviewing skills, presentation skills and ensure they have an up-to-date CV.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Hold a level 4 Youth Work Qualification or above or an equivalent relevant qualification at Level 4 or above.
• One years experience of working with economically inactive young people.
• Experience in individual casework and reporting.
