Learning Support Assistant
Job description
The Clanrye Group is a community organisation supporting individuals to make positive life changes through high-quality employability and community development programmes. We work with people facing a range of barriers to employment, delivering tailored, wraparound support that includes health and wellbeing initiatives, accredited training, skills development, and employability guidance. Our Disability Support Services team provides specialist support to young people aged 16 to 24 participating in the Skills for Life & Work and Apprenticeship NI programmes across Northern Ireland. Staff in this role offer one-to-one and group-based support to help participants engage successfully in their programmes, while also completing accurate and timely administrative records to ensure effective service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and group disability support, adapting to learner needs.
- Maintain accurate records, report concerns, complete admin tasks, and communicate effectively with staff.
- Support tutors, track progress, and promote independent learning.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Experienced in supporting young people with diverse needs to achieve goals in education and training.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and skilled in ICT-MS Office.
- Strong communicator with safeguarding awareness, able to manage workloads and meet KPI's.
Desirable Skills
- Experienced in supporting people with disabilities in education and employment settings.
- Able to work with diverse needs, using a flexible, adaptable approach.
- Strong youth work/pastoral skills, maintaining professional boundaries.
