Learning Support Assistant


Job description

The Clanrye Group is a community organisation supporting individuals to make positive life changes through high-quality employability and community development programmes. We work with people facing a range of barriers to employment, delivering tailored, wraparound support that includes health and well-being initiatives, accredited training, skills development, and employability guidance. Our Disability Support Services team provides specialist support to young people aged 16 to 24 participating in the Skills for Life & Work and Apprenticeship NI programmes across Northern Ireland. Staff in this role offer one-to-one and group-based support to help participants engage successfully in their programmes, while also completing accurate and timely administrative records to ensure effective service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and group disability support, adapting to learner needs.
  • Support tutors, track progress, and promote independent learning.
  • Maintain accurate records, report concerns, complete admin tasks, and communicate effectively with staff.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Experienced in supporting young people with diverse needs to achieve goals in education and training.
  • Skilled in ICT in particular Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Be able to manage workloads and meet KPI's.
  • Safeguarding awareness.

Desirable Skills

  • Experienced in supporting people with disabilities in education and employment settings.
