We have 2 years left of a 3 year National Lottery programme. The applicant will be responsible for running and developing our Raise programme and will have the support of the Committee and a part time Finance and Administration Officer.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and developing all areas of the programme.
- Holiday Support Breakfast / Lunch Club for children and young people.
- Homework / Revision support to enhance outcomes for children and young people.
- Establish a monthly drop in for 16-18 year olds that provide a safe place and support for young people.
- Developing the weekly luncheon club for older people.
- Host the monthly tea dance and develop a series of storytelling events.
- Provide ongoing support for our Mens/Hens Shed group.
- Develop and build on a series of Well Being sessions.
- Establish a volunteer team to support the work of the Community Centre.
- Use social media (mainly Facebook) to promote and communicate the project within the estate.
- Monitor and Evaluate the Project and collate data accordingly in line with funder requirements.
- To act as an ambassador for Currynierin.
- Work in partnership with the key stakeholders, community workers and resident associations.
- Report to the Committee of the Currynierin Community Association.
- Troubleshoot issues with the support of the committee and the wider stakeholder group.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have experience of the voluntary or charity sector and have a background in community development or youth work.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of working with The National Lottery or other large funder would be helpful although not essential.
