Job description

As a school collector you will play a vital role in the running of the nursery by taking children and collecting children from school and nursery. This is a great role that gives you an opportunity to develop a trusting relationship with the children in your care.

Responsibilities

• To drop off and collect children from nursery or school and transport them safely back to Rascals.
• Ensure each child is strapped in using seatbelts and booster seats (age appropriate) at all times.
• Ensure all children are left into the appropriate room with a member of staff.
• To follow the roles and responsibilities and professional conduct set out by the nursery.
• To ensure the vehicle is kept clean, has fuel and is running well.
• To be aware of any special dietary requirements of children in your care.
• Ensure you are on time for each child.
• Report immediately if a child is not present at the located area.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Valid driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Evidence of adequate insurance.
• Experience of driving for at least 3 years (1 of which can be on 'R' plates).

Desirable Skills

• Have previous experience working with children.
• Knowledge of the schools and nurseries within the Rascals area.
• Have previous experience driving in this capacity.
• Valid Paediatric First Aid.
