About the role: £20.00 per 1 hour session Ongoing Location: Larne, Ballymena and Carrickfergus Public Sector Program and scheme of work to follow MEAqua use tablets and online software managements systems (CoursePro) for ease of recording assessments, attendances etc.

Responsibilities

• Teach, assess and coach leisure centres swimming programme, special needs group and any other groups as required.
• Ensure the efficient and effective operation of sessions.
• Prepare lesson plans.
• Assist and maintain records for all Leisure centre swimming programmes on a weekly basis

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Swimming Teachers require, a minimum Swim Ireland Level 2 teachers (or Level 2 Coaches award), STA Swimming Teachers Award.
• 1 years teaching Swimming experience.
• A full current driving licence valid in the UK and access to a vehicle or have access to a form of transport.
• Candidates must have and maintain a sufficient level of fitness to satisfactorily discharge the duties and responsibilities of the post.
• Flexibility will be required on working hours to include evenings and weekends.
• Please note successful candidates must be prepared to go through Enhanced AccessNI screening process.

Desirable Skills

• ASA Full Teachers Award, or equivalent, experience desirable but not necessary as full in house, centre specific training / job shadowing given.
• Additional qualifications in RLSS Rookie Lifeguard, Pre-School / Parent and Child, Disability teaching would be an advantage not required.
