Job description

We are seeking part-time Nursery Assistants to support the care and learning of young children in a nursery setting. Duties include supervising play, helping with meals and hygiene, preparing activities, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting children’s social and emotional development. The role also involves following safeguarding procedures and working closely with staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities
• Support children's emotional, social, and educational development
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of nursery rooms and equipment
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures
• Communicate positively with parents/carers and team members

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Level 2 Childcare qualification
• At least 1 year's experience with working within a childcare environment

Desirable Skills

• Level 3 Childcare qualification
• 1st Aid
• Safeguarding Certificate
