Job description

The Chef de Partie is responsible for the management and operation of a specific section in the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety. The role requires effective time management, a strong understanding of kitchen operations, and the ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the smooth running of your section before, during, and after service, ensuring food quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure that all food served to guests and staff is prepared and presented in line with the company's outlined standards.
  • Ensure correct stock rotation and manage inventory within your section, minimizing wastage and recording it accurately.
  • Adhere to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) standards for food safety and hygiene.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • 1 years experience in a similar busy gastro pub environment and hold a NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent, must be current) in a kitchen related discipline.

Desirable Skills

  • 2 years experience.
  • First Aid Certificate (must be current)
