Job description

We are looking for 1 X Full Time Healthcare Assistant to join our Burleigh Hill House Team. The contract is for 3 Nights per week, 3 x 12 hour night shifts per week 8pm to 8am, allocated between Monday to Sunday. Sponsorship is not available for this role. Main Function of the Job: To work as a trained multi-skilled member providing various aspects of care to elderly residents. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all daily living activities, for example, washing, dressing, toileting/incontinence and assisting with mealtimes.
• All relevant kitchen related duties including basis meal preparation.
• Laundry washing, drying and ironing duties.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
• Communicate regularly with the line manager.
• Provide a quality service at all times.
• Obtain NISCC registration before employment and maintain during employment.
• Adhere to the NISCC Codes of Practice Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ensure the confidentiality of residents, colleagues and the company at all times.
• Work as part of a team.
• Complete all paperwork accurately.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as laid down by the company.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• No experience necessary.

Desirable Skills

• Experience within a paid Nursing Home or similar environment to include personal care experience.
• Be registered with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC).
