An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading Irish based electrical contractor renowned for delivering high quality, mission critical projects across Europe. Specialising in critical power, data centre infrastructure, and off site manufacturing, the company works across a diverse range of sectors including data centres, pharmaceuticals, renewables, power generation, and critical infrastructure. With a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimating to join their team in Derry/Londonderry. This is a hands on role with a responsibility to produce Electrical tenders for both pre designed and design & construct projects along with estimating works working in a professional team. There is the option to be paid in sterling or Euros as the companies head office is based in the Republic of Ireland

Responsibilities

• Management of estimating new projects from inception to submission. Setting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers.
• Communicating with internal stakeholders and external Suppliers & Clients. Preparing take offs for LVMV Cabling and Containment systems from drawings.
• Inputting take offs and quotes to relevant estimate formats. Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors' proposal documents to support bids.
• Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team.
• Develop strong inter departmental relationships working closely with Contracts Managers, QS’s and Design/Engineering department.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Strong commercial experience in an Estimator role.
• Self-motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently.
• Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to read and understand electrical drawings. High attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
• High attention Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently.to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non- technical clients

Desirable Skills

• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
• Someone who started off as an Electrician and worked their way up
