Job description

This role is a for a full-time, permanent trainee pest control technician. Salary will be dependant upon experience and qualifications. This is a field-based role which will suit a positive and enthusiastic individual who likes to manage their own time, is good at solving bespoke customer problems face-to-face and likes to help people. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for conducting pest control treatments on commercial and residential properties across Northern Ireland, as well as carrying out bird proofing activities and other related Pest activities.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting customer premises for signs of pests and potential risks.
• Routine Servicing and intensive treatment activities.
• Advising customers on the maintenance and hygiene of their premises.
• Cleaning and removing evidence of pest behaviour.
• Completing accurate reports after every visit.
• Always maintaining high-level customer service and projecting a professional image.
• Undertake minor proofing works to prevent pest ingress.
• Bird Proofing.
• EFK servicing & fly monitoring activities.
• Pest identification and creation of appropriate treatment plans.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Full UK driving licence, held for more than two years.
• Educated to GCSE (equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Be able to demonstrate customer liaison skills.
• Problem solving.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland.
• Flexibility with working patterns to support the business needs.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
