Employer Liaison Officer
Job description
The College is seeking applications for a permanent full-time Employer Liaison Officer to work in our Springtown campus. The postholders will provide practical support to employers to encourage and sustain their engagement. Responsibilities
- Develop good relationships with industry and build knowledge of local employment opportunities.
- Raise awareness and profile of work based learning programmes including youth training, Foundation Degrees and Apprenticeship provision.
- Assist with the development of effective marketing strategies to engage employers, participants and other key stakeholders in the work-based learning provision.
- Sourcing work placements for a range of College programmes which require work-based learning.
- Provide a matching service between employers and participants.
- Contribute to the completion of Personal Training Plans (or equivalent) and monitor progression towards achievement of milestones and targets.
- Ensure that participants and employers are familiar with their responsibilities regarding work placement, including health & safety and child protection issues.
- Communicate to placement providers the content of courses and the assessment criteria which students must meet to successfully complete their course.
- Visit participants on a regular basis and complete appropriate reports to ensure that they are meeting the requirements of their course and completing relevant documentation.
- Prepare relevant documentation and maintain appropriate records on every participant.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Have at least a Level 4 qualification in any discipline.
- Have at least two years’ relevant employment experience. Relevant defined as working in a role which involves working with external stakeholders to build relationships OR engaging with industry to secure work placements or employment opportunities.
- Have current driving licence and access to a car? (applicants with a disability (as defined in the Disability Discrimination Act 1995) who have been prevented from obtaining a driving licence due to their disability are eligible to apply).
