HGV Class 1 Driver


Job description

On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for HGV1 Drivers based in Mullusk. As an HGV Driver, once you’ve completed a successful assessment, your main responsibility will be to transport parcels and mail between depots within the Royal Mail Network. The role involves minimal manual labour, and shifts are scheduled a week in advance.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive parcels and mail between Royal Mail depots.
  • Ensure the HGV1 vehicle is in good condition and conduct pre-shift checks.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Stay in contact with dispatch and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Have licence for over 2 years and no more than 5 penalty points.
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
