Job description

Operate a HGV Class 1 lorry to deliver goods to specified destinations in a timely manner (mainly in Northern Ireland but sometimes in the Republic of Ireland).

Responsibilities

• Ensure all cargo is secured correctly and complies with safety regulations.
• Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards.
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logbooks.
• Follow all road safety laws and company policies during transit.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo when required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Have a valid UK drivers licence with category CE, a valid digicard and a valid CPC card.

Further Information

This is a full time permanent role and a face to face interview will be required with the client. Ideally the candidate will have a minimum of 18 months commercial driving experience and 6 points or less on their licence.
