Water Maintenance Operative


Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Water Maintenance Operative to join a busy site team in Coleraine over the summer period. Working across accommodation and site facilities, you’ll play an important role in carrying out routine water system checks, supporting hygiene compliance, and ensuring maintenance issues are identified and reported quickly during one of the busiest times of the year. Responsibilities

  • Turning on taps and ensuring water supply is functioning correctly
  • Flushing toilets regularly to maintain system hygiene
  • Carrying out routine checks on water systems across accommodation blocks
  • Monitoring water outlets to prevent stagnation
  • Reporting any faults, leaks, or maintenance issues
  • Recording checks and ensuring compliance with procedures
  • Supporting general site maintenance activities as required

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Good attention to detail

Desirable Skills

  • Previous maintenance or facilities experience is desirable but not essential

Further Information

Temporary, seasonal role, Summer period (July & August 2026). This is a hands-on role ideal for someone practical who enjoys working independently and helping maintain essential site facilities to a high standard.
