Job description

We are seeking Plant Operatives for immediate start with our client.

Responsibilities

• To re-qualify, refurbish and paint refillable welded steel cylinder as per the required standard to meet requirements.
• Upload/ reload cylinder pallets/ vehicles - Identify and segregate cylinders for approval to scrap
• Identify and segregate cylinders for re-qualification, refurbish or powder coating
• Shot blast cylinders as required
• Internally/ externally inspect cylinders
• Tare weigh, stencil, valve, gas charge and leak test cylinders before returning to customer
• Carry out quality checks throughout the production process as required
• Report any quality issues to the chargehand or manager
• Load cylinders for scrapping
• Housekeeping as required
• Other general duties

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in production/ manufacturing environment
• Experience in warehouse and labouring work
• Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of the job as this involves heavy lifting
• Minimum 2 years production experience
