Job description

We are looking for a companion to assist an amputee open water swimmer during intensive training sessions. This isn't your typical desk job you will be an essential part of a training journey, ensuring everything runs smoothly from the driveway to the deep blue sea. Role will involve occasional light household duties.

Responsibilities

• Safely pushing the wheelchair across the beach/terrain to the water’s edge and meeting the swimmer upon return.
• Getting the swimmer and equipment safely to and from open water beach.
• Keeping a watchful eye from the shore.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must be comfortable with getting your feet wet
• Physically able and sufficient to push a wheelchair through sand/rough terrain is essential.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
