Job description

A Van Salesperson is responsible for selling and delivering products directly to customers using a company vehicle. The role involves building strong customer relationships, achieving sales targets, managing stock in the van, and ensuring timely deliveries within assigned routes or territories.

Responsibilities

• Load products into the van and ensure accurate inventory before starting daily routes
• Visit assigned customers/outlets according to route plans
• Promote and sell company products to existing and new customers
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
• Collect payments (cash or digital) and issue receipts/invoices
• Maintain proper records of sales, returns, and stock levels
• Monitor stock levels in the van and report shortages or discrepancies
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
• Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the company vehicle
• Follow company policies, safety standards, and driving regulations

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal)

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience working with fresh meat (advantageous, but not essential)
