Join Antrim & Newtownabbey Council as a Business Development Admin Officer and play a key part in delivering an agreed programme of future interventions in the local labour market. Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council was named as Overall Council of the Year 2024 for Service Delivery by the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE). Responsibilities
- Responsible for validating and verifying project information returned from delivery partners.
- To ensure all information is complete and accurate in accordance with Letter of Offer Conditions.
- To maintain accurate records.
- To obtain and return information on a timely basis for the smooth running of projects.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for the Department including;
- Provide a high standard of customer care by directing enquiries to the appropriate economic programme and support officer.
- Maintenance, audit and update of systems, databases (including data cleansing), performance dashboards, business directories and spreadsheets used within the Department, ensuring these sources are correct and up to date.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 5 GCSEs Grades A-C (or equivalent) to include English Language and Maths.
- Consideration may be given to those candidates who do not hold the above academic qualifications but who can demonstrate a minimum of 4 years Administration experience as below.
- 2 years administrative experience to include:
- Dealing with members of the public and responding to enquiries from a range of stakeholders.
- Data Input and retrieval.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a small specialist team.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent customer services skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- High degree of discretion and confidentiality.
- Competent in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Full current driving licence or, if a disability prevents driving, access to a suitable form of transport to enable the duties of the post to be carried out in full.
