PA/Personal Care Assistant
Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and professional individual to provide bespoke, person-centred assistance to a young male with a learning disability. This role focuses on facilitating social inclusion, community engagement, and the development of independent living skills. The successful candidate will act as a facilitator, empowering the individual to access social and recreational activities.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate community inclusion and assist the individual in identifying and attending local community groups, leisure activities, and social events.
- Build confidence, helping them navigate social situations and build meaningful relationships.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Ability to listen actively and adapt your communication style and facilitate conversations.
- Ability to act as an advocate when necessary.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities in a community or social care setting is preferred.
- A caring and empathetic person who respects their rights and choices.
- A full driving licence. Business Use Insurance will be required.
