Trainee Neighbourhood Operations Supervisor
Job description
The trainee will gain on the job experience and undertake a learning and development training plan, which must be successfully completed by the end of the 2-year period, to enable the trainee to competently carry out the role of Neighbourhood Operations Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, programming and scheduling of all operations.
- Record, investigate, and report on complaints received in relation to service area and taking corrective action where necessary.
- The utilisation of all systems and process, including asset management/inspection and vehicle tracking systems to monitor service schedules and ensure same are kept up to date.
- Open and close Council Depots and other Council facilities as may be required and act as key holder.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Applicants must have a minimum 5 GCSE’s (Grades A-C) or equivalent including English Language and a numeracy based subject.
- Applicants must provide specific and personal examples of having at least 1 year’s relevant experience in the following areas:
- Responsible for planned and reactive maintenance in a public facing environment;
- Evidence of operational supervision of cross functional teams to include workforce planning and problem solving in a related service area;
- Experienced in the use of I.T. systems, including a working knowledge of Microsoft packages & digital workflow systems/databases.
