Job description
Provide the highest possible standard of care and support to the people who use our services by actively promoting and implementing Recovery by using a strengths based person centred approach.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a trusting and professional relationship with the people who use our services and act in a supportive and empathetic manner towards them.
- Contribute to and help maintain a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
- Support the people who use our services to manage their mental health, physical health and wellbeing through the development, implementation and monitoring of individual wellbeing and safety management plans.
- Actively encourage the involvement of the people who use our services in all aspects of decision-making, be sensitive and seek solutions to difficulties encountered by the people who use our services.
- Implement and adhere to Inspire’s procedures, involving the people who use our services at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- To be flexible and work such hours as required by the post in order to meet the needs of the service.
- A full current driving licence and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.
- Be educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a related subject e.g. Care and 6 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting. OR
- A minimum of 12 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.
- Have proven experience of motivating, supporting and mentoring Service Users.
- Experience of maintaining service user and agency records.
- Working knowledge of using IT systems.
