Family Support Coordinator, we refer to as ABI Coordinator (Northern Ireland). Provides vital support to families and professionals across Northern Ireland affected by Childhood Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Working within the Brain Injury Service, you will deliver high-quality support to families and communities navigating the challenges of ABI. Responsibilities
- Works as part of the Brain Injury Team within the Brain Injury Service to deliver support, advice, information, and resources to families and professionals affected by childhood acquired brain injury.
- Planning, coordinating and delivery of virtual and in-person family support hubs, group events and creating opportunities for families to come together.
- Establish strong networks and partnerships with community professionals, agencies, and organisations for effective support in the community.
- Maintain up to date personal information and documentation adhering to data protection regulations.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Relevant experience supporting families with disabilities.
- Experience of working with children and family focused services.
- Experience or understanding of building an effective network of support for families.
- Effective communication skills across varied audiences.
- Knowledge of the support services available to children and families.
