Job description

The role of Care Assistant requires a team approach at all times with effective working relationships for the benefit of the service user.

Responsibilities

• To support service users with identified personal care and support needs.
• To assist residents with activities of daily living and facilitate inclusion of service users in a broad range of activities.
• Co-operate and assist nursing, medical and domestic staff as required.
• Ensure that specific instructions regarding the treatment and diet of the residents are carried out and recorded as directed, for example, fluid intake.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in a Care role is preferred but not necessary.
• NISCC registration or complete registration within 6 months.
