Housing Officer
Job description
We are looking for a Housing Officer to deliver an effective patch management service. You’ll ensure tenancies are managed, help people to sustain tenancies, manage rental income and oversee excellence in service delivery to customers. Lead and manage your allocated patch, ensuring that the wellbeing of the patch is advanced (e.g. rent income, repairs, anti-social behaviour, tenant engagement, customer satisfaction, external partnerships). Responsibilities
- Lead and manage your allocated patch, ensuring that the wellbeing of the patch is advanced (e.g. rent income, repairs, anti-social behaviour, tenant engagement, customer satisfaction, external partnerships).
- Chair regular meetings of your patch management group to ensure high performance in all work areas for the patch.
- Carry out estate inspections and scheme audits, in co-operation with Assets team colleagues and action any issues.
- Develop effective neighbourhood plans across your patch, working with the Community Development team.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Educated to degree level plus one years’ experience (within the last seven years) working in housing/support services or tenancy/estate management/ community/ voluntary sector.
- OR five years’ experience (within the last seven years) working in a housing/support services or tenancy/estate management/ community/ voluntary sector.
- OR completed GEM programme with 18 months relevant housing experience.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment with a proven ability of delivering a high standard of customer service.
Desirable Skills
- Professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Housing or other relevant professional qualification.
