Specialist Podiatrist - High Risk Band 6 BSCT


Job description

The post holder shall provide assessment, diagnostic and treatment modalities to a range of patients including those who have diabetes, vascular or renal disease with limb threatening pathologies. The service will be delivered across hospital, community sites including the patient’s own home. The post holder will develop and evaluate individual patient treatment plans in collaboration with other members of the relevant multidisciplinary teams. The post holder will liaise with other members of the podiatry and multidisciplinary teams. Emphasis will be placed on evidence based practice, multidisciplinary team working and high standards of clinical care. Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Band 6 Level and Link Band 5/6: Applicants must have a Degree or Diploma in Podiatry and be registered with the HCPC.
  • Band 6 level: Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience and can demonstrate clinical experience in the relevant specialist area.

Desirable Skills

  • Evidence of Postgraduate education.
  • Evidence of experience in the high risk foot.
