Job description

To ensure that all Kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned and presented to the Hastings Standard of Cleanliness and Hygiene.

Responsibilities

• To keep all kitchen areas clean. Typical tasks include washing dishes, pots, pans, loading and unloading the dish washer, emptying, and cleaning bins.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of dishwashing areas including walls, fridges, and mopping floors.
• To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
• To always maintain the security of stock areas at all times, immediately reporting any breaches and dealing.
• To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
• To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
• Any other duties as required by management.

Further Information

This work experience opportunity is expected to last for 8 weeks and will require attendance of 25 - 30 hours/week. While on Work Experience, participants will retain their entitlement to benefit. Those who are not receiving benefit are also welcome to participate. Travel and childcare costs may be reimbursed. Participants will also receive an incentive payment equivalent to £10/day to a maximum of £50/week.
