Position: Electrical Technician Location: Derry City Salary: £30k to £35K (DOE) plus attractive benefits package Riada Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of a leading advanced manufacturing company for an Electrical Technician to join its specialist DC Systems team. With over 25 years' experience in industrial automation, the company designs and delivers bespoke automation, robotics, and machine-build solutions for clients worldwide. The successful candidate will support the assembly, wiring, and testing of key products, including DC Battery Tripping Units and Best Battery Diodes, applying expertise in electrical systems, electronics, testing, pneumatics, and automation. Responsibilities

  • Achieve project milestones within agreed time-frames and budgets.
  • Deliver efficient and courteous customer service and support.
  • Liaise effectively between customers and management to ensure smooth communication.
  • Maintain, repair, and service equipment within a tidy and safe working environment.
  • Work within DC Systems, including clean-room environments and wet process or automated equipment.
  • Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electrical, pneumatic, automation, and electronic components and systems.
  • Evaluate, calibrate, and test new or modified circuits and fixtures.
  • Assemble or modify systems based on engineering instructions, manuals, and technical knowledge.
  • Complete all required documentation and job related paperwork.
  • Follow all health and safety and quality procedures.
  • Promote the capabilities and professionalism of the organisation.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or 4, BTEC HNC/HND, or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (Equivalent time served experience will also be considered).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent.
  • Competence with hand tools, multimeters, insulation testers, and torque tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of shop floor build processes.
