Oven Operator
Job description
Our client Genesis based in Magherafelt are currently recruiting for Oven Operators to join their growing Bakery Production team. The purpose of this role is to operate as part of the bakery production team, ensuring products are baked to the highest quality and food safety standards while adhering to daily production schedules.
Responsibilities
- To operate bakery ovens and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- To monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality.
- To load and unload products in line with production schedules.
- To carry out equipment checks and report faults where necessary.
- To maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety.
- To work closely with Bakery, Mixing, and Production teams to ensure efficient workflow.
- To comply with all Health & Safety procedures including PPE requirements.
- To complete all required production records accurately
- To participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- To carry out any reasonable duties in line with business needs.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Understanding of Health & Safety and food hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours and duties.,
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Desirable Skills
- Willingness to learn.
- Previous experience in food production or using kitchen equipment desirable but not essential.
