Job description

To assist in the development, co-ordination, and effective delivery of LIA’s youth health programmes. The post holder will design and provide programmes and activities centred on the promotion of active participation by young people in line with PHA Healthy Living Centres (HLC) targets, focusing specifically on health inequality reduction, mental well-being, and social prescribing for youth.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, Safeguarding & Governance, Financial Accountability, Partnership Working, Professional Development, Support & Collaboration, Detached Youth Work Provision
• Promotion of active participation by young people in line with PHA Healthy Living Centres.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Degree level in youth work, social work, or teaching; OR OCN Level 2 in a health-related discipline; OR JNC qualified within the last 5 years.
• Ability to design and implement programmes based on evidence of need and PHA core themes.

Desirable Skills

• Post-graduate qualification in Public Health or Community Development. Note: Candidates not currently in possession of these qualifications may be considered for interview if they can demonstrate they are actively working towards achieving them.
