Reporting to the Senior Training and Development Officer, this role is responsible for strengthening community development and health through the design and delivery of innovative learning programmes. The role supports the promotion of community development approaches to tackling health inequalities and the social determinants of health. Working as part of a team to produce learning resources and new training programmes that are accessible, impactful and responsive to the needs of members, partners and communities.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline and an accredited qualification in Training and Development or Adult Education and Training
- Experience in the design and delivery of learning and training via methods such as digital eLearning, online and face-to-face, within community, workplace, or health and social settings
- Effective communication, public speaking and multimedia presentation skills, connecting and engaging effectively with participants to create a positive learning environment
- Good writing and analytical skills with the ability to produce complex or technical information into practical, usable training resources
- Strong project planning, co-ordination and time management skills, to manage training schedules effectively and meet deadlines and budgets
- Knowledge of applying adult learning and health literacy principles to training that recognises and values people’s experiences
- Knowledge and experience of conducting a training needs analysis, setting clear objectives and goals and developing effective training plans
- Strong IT skills including sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM administration, willingness to learn new systems in learning management and eLearning, digital course design
- Skills in virtual facilitation on Zoom and MS Teams and promoting digital engagement technologies e.g Mentimeter

- Must have access to a form of transport that will allow the post holder to fulfil the job’s travel requirements

- Strong teamworking skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners, to support continuous learning and project delivery
