Job description

The Store/Yard Person is responsible for undertaking day-to-day yard and store operations. This role ensures the efficient flow of goods in and out, maintains stock accuracy, and provides excellent customer service while keeping the premises safe, clean, and highly organised.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with loading goods outward in a safe, efficient manner.
• Unload and check all incoming deliveries for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders.
• Distribute inward goods, update stock records, and store items in designated bays or shelves.
• Perform daily general housekeeping to keep warehouse floors, storage bays, and outside yards clear and tidy.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Manual handling skills essential.

Desirable Skills

• Full, clean driver's licence.
• Friendly, helpful personality with excellent communication skills to deal with drivers, staff, and the public.
