We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Programmes Coordinator to oversee our Social Enterprise and Mens Shed Programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing community-focused initiatives that promote social inclusion, health, and wellbeing. The Programme Coordinator will work closely with diverse community groups, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure the success and sustainability of our programmes.
Responsibilities
- To work with the Project Management Team and support the development of social enterprise and men’s shed programmes in Erne East, Clones and Belturbet.
- Securing participation of partners, target beneficiaries, venues, facilitators and associated supporting services including catering/hospitality/equipment, and materials etc.
- Undertake a scoping exercise of social enterprises in the geographical area and develop a social enterprise toolkit.
- Identifying project timelines including required key milestones, outputs and outcomes and reporting to Programme Manager as per SEUPB requirements.
- Collating relevant section 75 information, use of appropriate evaluation tools and mechanisms as required for Project evaluation.
- Uploading relevant activity information to JEMS and any other required databases taking into account GDPR.
- Development and management of programme budgets, financial reporting, procurement, invoice vouching in line with PeacePlus regulations.
- Contributing to annual and end of project reports for programmes.
- Provide regular project reports as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Hold a recognised qualification at diploma or degree level or at least 2 years relevant experience of community / voluntary sector work in a paid or voluntary role.
- Have experience in the delivery of projects, including working in a project which has a variety of stakeholders.
- Have an understanding of community development, community health and good relations and experience of the sector.
- A working knowledge and competency in Information Technology (IT) skills, with experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Evidence of a range of essential communication skills both in person and online.
- The ability to work on own initiative as well as within a dynamic small team environment.
- Have a Full valid Driving Licence and access to a mode of transport that would enable you to perform the duties of this post.
- Have experience in the use of financial management systems.
- Have the ability to work on a flexible manner and a engage successfully as part of a team on behalf of the employing organisation.
- Willing to undergo an Access NI Check to obtain a Disclosure Certificate issued by AccessNI or Garda check.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge or experience of community development, working within a community development context and an understanding of social enterprises, and community, social issues and challenges within the geographical area of Fermanagh and Monaghan and Cavan.
- Experience of working with and reporting to a voluntary management committee.
