Intake Operative


Job description

Our client Baileys is seeking an Intake Operative to join their team in Mallusk. This role is responsible for the intake of components to produce Baileys Original Irish Cream whilst ensuring that relevant risk management procedures e.g. H&S, C&E, DIAGEO Quality Standards and Environmental considerations are adhered to.

Responsibilities

  • Daily receipt of ingredient deliveries, stock control of raw materials and finished product.
  • 100% adherence to all associated quality checks.
  • Completion of all documentation, including for example; Production, C&E and Quality.
  • Participation in H&S and continuous improvement activities through sites manufacturing excellence program.
  • Maintenance of a high standard of plant hygiene and product quality.
  • Support all facets of asset care through Manufacturing Excellence program.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • GCSE or O Level Maths & English is essential or equivalent.
  • FMCG Industry experience, working to high Quality standards.
  • Computer literacy skills..
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A keen team player within and across teams who can lead on work activities, including manufacturing excellence projects.
  • Ability to complete and maintain documentation and system records to high degree of accuracy.
  • Structured problem solving and data analytics skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and work within given timeline and performance measures.
  • Ability to challenge established ways of operating to create improvement ideas.
  • Flexibility within a shift working environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of component supply and materials would be an advantage.

Work time - Week 1: 7am-3pm Monday to Friday. Week 2: 2.50pm-00.45am Monday to Wednesday & 2.50pm-00.05am on Thursday This Intake Operative position is based in Newtownabbey Northern Ireland.
