Job description

Favourit Foods is a long-established supplier of herbs, spices and food ingredients. As part of GM Marketing Ltd one of Northern Irelands significant brand builders, our customers belong to all sectors of the food industry and include major retailers, wholesalers and food service. As part of continuing expansion we have a number of production operative roles currently available in our main site, but also at our secondary facility in East Belfast. The main duties include packaging a wide range of herbs and spices by machine and hand in jars / pots, packing and assembling goods and attaching labels to finished products.

Responsibilities

• Operating and cleaning production machinery
• To pack a range of herbs and spices both by manually and with the use of food processing machinery in line with department procedures
• To label products ensuring that all details (e.g. best before date) are accurate
• To pack final products into boxes as per customer requirements
• To observe good housekeeping within your work area
• To adhere to Company General Policies, i.e., Food Safety, Health Safety
• Adhering to operational procedures and production timelines

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of food production
• Communication skills - written and oral
