Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Upholsterer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying fabric, leather, and padding to freshly assembled furniture frames. You will work from design specifications to ensure every sofa, chair, and custom piece meets our high standards of quality, comfort, and visual appeal before it ships to customers.

Responsibilities

• Using Power and hand tools to install foam supplies & fabric to wooden framework in the assembly of hand crafter furniture.
• Attach finishes including buttons, trim, tassels and other decorative accessories to complete orders according to client specifications.
• Measure and cut fabric or leather pieces with the aid of patterns or stencils and industrial cutting tools to precise size & dimensions.
• Read work orders and liaise with the production manager and team.
• Inspect wooden framework for defects and make repairs as needed prior to upholstery application and other finish work.
• Operate necessary upholstery hand equipment and other industrial equipment.
• Discuss complications or assembly line slowdowns with supervisors and brainstorm solutions for increased productivity.
• Attention to detail a must.
