Care Assistant (Days)
Job description
The Care Assistant will carry out a high standard of care and assist to meet residents’ individual needs within a caring environment.
Responsibilities
- To attend to the personal needs of residents on a daily basis, with respect and dignity for the individual.
- To carry out a high standard of care and any daily living programmes as directed by Senior Staff.
- To maintain a safe environment by ensuring adherence to appropriate Health and Safety and Fire procedures. high standard of care and any daily living programmes as directed by Senior Staff.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 6 months experience in the last 5 years providing care/support to adults with a learning disability, this can be both paid or unpaid experience ie placements, lived experience, caring responsibilities, voluntary roles etc
- Evidence an understanding of and respect for the needs of people with learning and physical disabilities
- Awareness of health and safety practices within a working environment
- Proficiency in understanding, communicating and writing in English to level required by the duties of the post
- Basic numeracy required by the duties of the post (as endorsed by appropriate qualification or use of numeracy skills in a work or home environment).
