Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Nurse to join our established treatment room team between 20-25 hours per week (negotiable). The successful candidate will provide a high quality of care to our patients in our busy practice.

Responsibilities

• Venepuncture and specimen collection.
• Blood Pressure monitoring and ECG.
• Immunisations and Vaccinations.
• Wound Care.
• Anti-Coagulation Monitoring.
• Infection Prevention and control.
• Maintaining accurate patient records using EMIS.
• Working within a team.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Registered Nurse live on Nursing Midwifery Council Register.
• Venepuncture Skills.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as a team and independently.
• Knowledge of clinical governance.
• Maintain accurate patient records.

Desirable Skills

• Primary Care and treatment room experience is desirable but not essential as training can be given. We are particularly keen in supporting applicants who are interested in progressing from the treatment room into a Practice Nurse Role.
