Job description

We are seeking Care Workers to provide exceptional personal, domestic and social care to vulnerable individuals at home.

Responsibilities

• Providing domiciliary health care and other services to the community.
• Work as part of a team to provide personal and domestic care.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A full valid driving licence and access to transport for work purposes.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Teamwork skills.
• Understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
• Able to promote dignity and respect in care delivery.
• Able to promote and deliver personal care.

Desirable Skills

• 6 months experience in formal care setting.
• NVQ level 2 in Care or equivalent.
• NISCC registered or willing to undertake if successful.
• Knowledge of domiciliary care minimum standards.

Further Information

Part-time Positions available in Derry/Londonderry (Cityside & Waterside) and Strabane (limited availability). Salary: Weekends: Friday Nights and Saturday/Sunday (all runs): £14.50 per hour. Monday-Thursday Bed (Night) runs: £13.15 per hour. Monday-Friday for Morning/Lunch and Afternoon (Tea) runs: £13.00 per hour. Work Time: Morning/Lunch Run 7am-2pm; Tea Run 2.30pm- 6.30pm; Bed Run 7pm-11pm. Joining Bonus - £150 (T's & C's apply). Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are required, but previous experience is not needed as full training will be provided. Successful applicants must be willing to carry out Enhanced Access NI check. Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily prohibit you from working with Strabane & District Caring Services.
