Job description

We are currently looking for full time HGV Drivers (C) to join our busy teams at our site in Portadown and Garvagh. As a Driver you will be required to complete multi drop deliveries and collections throughout NI. The Driver will also be required to collect and move commercial containers when required. As a AM shift Drivers, you will start at 05.30am based from Garvagh site, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required, on a rota basis. As a AM shift Drivers, you will start at 6am based from Portadown site, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required, on a rota basis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand.
• Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times.
• Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally).
• Follow all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles.
• Working collaboratively with the transport team to ensure excellent operational service is maintained, and continually improved.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Undertake all necessary training, & cooperate with the security clearance process as required.
• Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must hold a valid HGV licence - Category ‘C’,
• Must hold a Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC.
• Full UK Driving Licence (Max of 6 penalty points).
• Security Clearances.
• Ability to undertake manual work.
• Flexible approach to working hours is required in relation to finish times, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Team Player.
• Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Good Knowledge of driver’s hours, rules, and regulations.

Desirable Skills

• Minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience.
• Previous experience working in the waste industry.

Further Information

Competitive Hourly Rate Competitive Hourly Rate £16.22ph. Annual Bonus scheme available. Overtime rate of Time and a Half for hours worked over 44 hours Monday to Friday.
